Delete Your Account

You have full control over your CareerClutch account and data. This page explains how to request account deletion and what data is removed.

How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your CareerClutch account and all associated cloud data, send an email to:

Important: please send the email FROM the same email address you used to register your CareerClutch account. This is the fastest way for us to verify your identity and process your request.

Include in your email

What happens next

  1. Identity verification: If you emailed from your registered account address, we can verify immediately. If you emailed from a different address, we will reply to your registered account email asking you to confirm the request from that address.
  2. Processing: Once verified, we will process your deletion request within 7 business days.
  3. Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.

We will never delete an account based on a request that we cannot verify came from the account owner.

Clearing Local Data on Your Device

If you want to remove only the data stored on your device (without deleting your cloud account), you can do this directly from within the app at any time:

  1. Open the CareerClutch app
  2. Go to Profile → Clear All Data
  3. Confirm when prompted

This clears local cache, interview history stored on the device, and downloaded resume drafts. Your cloud account remains active and your data on our servers is preserved. To fully delete your account, please email us as described above.

What Data Is Deleted on Account Deletion

When we process your deletion request, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

What Data May Be Retained

Some data may be retained for limited periods even after account deletion, as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

This retained data cannot be linked back to you personally.

Active Subscriptions

If you have an active subscription when you request account deletion:

You can also manage or cancel your subscription independently through your Google Play account → Subscriptions.

Reactivating an Account

Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you wish to use CareerClutch again, you will need to create a new account. Previous interview history, resumes, and progress data cannot be restored.
